Land of Lincoln Honor Flight of Springfield will fly with 80 veterans of World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars to Washington, D.C., on May 17.

The group will leave Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport about 6 a.m. on a chartered jet, then be met by three buses in Washington. The day will include stops at the World War II, Korean and Vietnam War national memorials as well as the Air Force and Marine memorials and Arlington National Cemetery. Veterans will also have the opportunity to tour the National Air & Space Museum and view the Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln memorials, the Pentagon and more before returning to Springfield that night.

Among the seven World War II, 44 Korean and 29 Vietnam War-era veterans will be representatives of Bunker Hill, Carlinville, Virginia, Waverly and White Hall.

Veteran applications continue to be accepted and are available at LandofLincolnHonorFlight.org or by contacting John Dust at HonorFlightGuy@aol.com or 309-339-0227.
