BURGLARIES, THEFTS

• An all-terrain vehicle was stolen between 8 p.m. Monday and noon Tuesday from property in the 600 block of Water Tower Road, according to a report filed about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday.

Jacksonville Police

ARRESTS, CITATIONS

• Kenyon W. Washington, 36, of 847 Routt St. was arrested about 3:05 a.m. Wednesday on charges of aggravated assault, resisting/obstructing a peace officer and possession of cannabis. The aggravated assault charge was made because he was accused of threatening to stab a person at a residence in the 800 block of Routt Street.

• Kellen R. Reardon, 19, of 829 Huber St. was booked into the Morgan County Jail about 5:01 p.m. Wednesday on charges of unlawful use of a debit/credit card and resisting a peace officer.

South Jacksonville Police

ARRESTS, CITATIONS

• Freddie G. Law, 47, of 755 Golgra Ave. was booked into the Morgan County Jail about 10:12 p.m. Wednesday on charges of failure to register three days in a new residence and violation of the sex offender registration.

ARRESTS, CITATIONS

• Joseph E. Shanks, 35, of 207 S. McDonald St. was booked into the Morgan County Jail about 9 a.m. Wednesday on a charge of driving while license revoked or suspended.

A house on Old U.S. 36 west of Jacksonville was damaged in a fire Wednesday afternoon. The Jacksonville Fire Department and the South Jacksonville Fire Department responded about 3 p.m. to 1627 Old U.S. 36 after the house caught fire while a resident was cooking. Only one person was at home at the time of the blaze and was outside when the fire department arrived. Fire Capt. Brian Nyberg said the entire back half of the house was engulfed when the department arrived and firefighters were able to keep the flames contained at the back of the house, but added that the remainder of the house had severe smoke damage. No injuries were reported.
