Jacksonville City Council will meet today after a 6 p.m. workshop, but no later than 7 p.m., in the council chambers, 200 W. Douglas Ave.
Among the items on the agenda are:
• First reading of an ordinance amending the municipal code dealing with alcoholic beverages to increase licenses by one for Shopko.
• First reading of an ordinance amending the municipal code dealing with alcoholic beverages to amend the classes, terms, hours and fees for Last Chance Promotions.
• First reading of an ordinance amending the municipal code for use of water and the declaration of water emergency by the mayor.
• First reading of an ordinance amending the municipal code dealing with the possession of cannabis.
• Second reading of an ordinance annexing certain territory to the city for the Tri-County Community Development Corp.
