VIRGINIA — The Cass County Food Pantry will have its annual fried chicken dinner fundraiser Jan. 29 at the Depot Restaurant.
The meal, which runs from to 4 to 7:30 p.m., costs $15 for adults and $7 for children ages 8 and under.
Tickets are available from pantry board members, the Depot Restaurant, Beardstown Savings Bank and Petefish, Skiles & Co. Bank in Virginia.
The buffet-style meal will include fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cole slaw, dessert and coffee or iced tea.
The food pantry distributed 3,583 boxes of food to Cass County families during 2016, helping to feed 8,657 people.
